In January of 2003 two guys named Ben Roberts and Joey Fechtal were becoming disinterested in their band at the time for many reasons.  We soon broke off and started our own project with friend Michael McNearney.  Ben changed from being a bass player to the vocalist for the as-of-yet unnamed project, Joey became the guitarist and McNearney became the bass, although he had never had any prior experience.  We began as a, well, i'll admit crappy punk band.  But somewhere along the line we developed and matured into a more metal outfit.  Then in late October 2003 we asked school friend Eli Baskind to be our drummer.  Eli was the last piece of the puzzle.  Later in November we asked Ben's friend Connor Stratman to be the second guitarist, after he broke up with a black metal band called Ouroborous, and everything took off from there. We called ourselves Darkchaser and then shorty after changed our name to Orcus and played our first show in early 2004.  After maturing musically and finding that there was another band named "Orcus" we felt it was time for a change.  We changed our name to As Hollow and shortly after Connor Stratman left the band due to artistic differences.   Joe Daelstrom joined the band in early 2005 as second guitarist due in part to a mutual love of danzig he and Ben share.   We are quickly becoming a metal force in the Dallas scene and will soon be a staple therein.  Come and witness the glory of AS HOLLOW.
